Refresh, Renew, Recycle (I think that's how it goes)

I've decided to give my blog kind of a facelift. The old design, while pretty, was an assault on my eyes. The background alone heightened my anxiety to surprising heights. I like things to be visually organized. Enter overhaul:

So here it is - simple, yes, but hopefully lovely. It's clean, it's neat, it's found some confidence and purpose in it's simplicity. It's an all around happier, healthier blog because of it. A change for the better, really.

I really wish I could apply this principle to my closet these days. There is just SO. MUCH. CRAP. I wear the tiniest fraction of the clothing I own (in part due to the fact that I have steadily gained unwanted weight over the years) and the rest gets shoved aside. Could this constant wardrobe replenishment be partly to blame for my financial woes? Ummm YAH.

Alas, I digress.

I've opted not to care about my blog's identity - it is what it is: a place for me to spill thoughts, talk about stuff and things, update you (who ARE you??) on my latest adventures (or lack thereof), and sprinkle tidbits of beauty advice in here and there. I used to have notions of compartmentalizing it all, but realized that sometimes the more you try to organize things, the more chaotic they become.....

And that, children, is the moral of today's story.

  1. Quit making your blog cooler than mine and making me feel like I have to make it look decent. I was much happier when we were both blog underachievers.

P.S. Please make me a cool picture/cool word header.

P.P.S. Please don't tell anyone you made it for me because I want all the cool glory.

P.P.P.S The color of your blog title reminds me of mint chocolate chip ice cream so don't make mine the same color otherwise I will want to eat ice cream every time I blog and will get even fatter.

    P.P.P.P.S Thanks.
